The name, "Domaine des Martinelles" originally comes from a farm on the estate called "Les Martinelles". Apparently, this was traditionally an important resting and nesting site for migrating swifts. |

The Domaine des Martinelles is:

- A wine-producing estate that has been in the family for 3 generations and is now managed by Aimé and Pascal FAYOLLE.
- The desire to create a showcase for the estate by developing the bottling market since 2003. |

- A little over 20 ha of vines planted within the Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage and Saint Joseph appellations in the Northern Côtes du Rhône. |

- 3 grape varieties are grown: Marsanne and Roussanne for the white wines and Syrah for the red wines. |

- Harvested by hand
- Harvested into palox boxes for the white wines and into self-emptying trailers for the red wines |
- In the case of white grapes, whole grape clusters are pressed,
- In the case of black grapes, de-stemmed or whole grapes are fermented.

- Wines are aged in demi-muid oak barrels.
