HERMITAGE Red 2002 and White 2003: one star
Two family-run wineries come under the Domaine des Martinelles label. This association got off to a great start, with a Hermitage of a deep-red colour with violet glints. Although still slightly oaky, there are undertones of leather, blackcurrant and violet aromas. A great wine typical of its vintage: smooth, delicate and round, with well-balanced tannins.
White 2003, also one star, with excellent potential
and similar in quality to the red. Keep for 4
years before opening. Perfect with Picodon de
la Drôme goat's cheese.

Surprisingly fresh since this wine is 98% Marsanne.
We recommend keeping an eye on the wines produced by Pascal FAYOLLE, who bottles part of his production himself while he continues to deal with the best wine merchant in the Côtes-du-Rhône.
Staying with the whites, we must highlight the quality of the 2003 Hermitage which is already developing a wonderful variety of aromas (toasted bread, citrus and exotic fruits). Except that this wine is well worth keeping for ten to twenty years.

Tain l'Hermitage Wine Show
last weekend of February

Every year, the Domaine des Martinelles takes part in the Côtes du Rhône Septentrionales Wine Show (last weekend of February) at Tain l'Hermitage, at the Rochegude space right in the city centre (next to the train station).
The show is open from 9.30am to 7pm non-stop, providing the general public with the opportunity to find out about our wine appellations and taste our wines.

Wine Trade Show: "Découvertes en Vallée du Rhône"

"Découvertes en Vallée du Rhône" is a biennial wine-tasting exhibition for professionals only, bringing together producers, merchants and retailers. It is organised by Inter-Rhône (the trade council for Côtes du Rhône and Vallée du Rhône A.O.C. wines). This event is aimed at all partners that promote our wines (importers, producers, sales representatives, etc.) in France and worldwide.
In 2005, Domaine des Martinelles showed its Hermitage and Crozes-Hermitage red and white wines. |
